Back in October a friend and I attended the Southern Cooking class with Phil which was held at the Chef Next Door. The experience was beyond what I expected! It was such a “chill” atmosphere… not too formal and a lot of fun! We were invited to participate in the cooking process or we could just enjoy watching. On the menu was stewed and fried okra, fried chicken, biscuits and gravy, and red velvet bread pudding (which was my favorite!!). He started us off with a surprise treat, conch salad and fried conch! It was really awesome tasting a variety of dishes inspired from his home and travels. If you love trying new foods and you’re looking for something different to do for a date, a girls night out, or just getting together with friends this is the thing to do! I definitely can’t wait to do this again!
